Established in 1991, Alang Maritime is one of South East Asia’s premier stockists of new/unused, used and reconditioned parts for marine diesel engines. Located at the heart of the Indian ship recycling industry, we are uniquely suited to meet the ever increasing demands of the shipping industry, providing quality parts at a fair price.
The parts we stock are genuine/original and OEM. Parts are only stocked once they have been thoroughly inspected to the highest of quality standards by our team of in-house engineers.
Ever since our establishment, we have always believed in steady long term growth rather than chasing short term profits at the expense of quality. The satisfaction of our customers is far more important to us than making a quick buck. That is why over the years, we have been able to steadily grow our presence not only in India, but other countries as well. Our clientele today extends across two continents and more than ten countries.

We value quality above all and adhere to strict quality standards. From giant Crankshafts to tiny Nozzles, each and every engine component that enters our warehouse is thoroughly inspected by our in-house team of engineers before being stocked.
Every part we deliver is compliant with the highest of quality standards. The parts are packed with great safety and care to ensure that no damage is suffered in transit. For example, our Crankshafts are carefully crated into perfectly measured wooden boxes. This ensures that the quality of the parts remain intact and the engine that they’re installed into runs smoothly.

We believe in keeping stock because that helps us to act quickly on incoming enquiries.
There is no point in looking for spare parts after receiving an enquiry during times of urgency. That is why we keep our warehouse stocked with high quality engine components - inspected, listed and packed - just waiting to be shipped out to customers around the world.

Our Journey
1991
Niju Padia and Hitesh Mehta establish Alang Maritime as a partnership.
1993
Foreign trade begins. VTR501 Turbocharger Bearings are sold to traders in Italy in our first international deal.
1994
Entry into Greece and Cyprus, with a special focus on supplying Pielstick and Daihatsu parts.
1997
Acquisition of 18,000 sq. mtr. land to build a warehouse of 650 sq. mtr. for centralised stocking.
1997
Trade begins with companies in The Netherlands.
2000
Trade begins with companies in Singapore.
2001
Entry into England with a huge focus on supplying MaK parts.
2005
Change in business strategy with a more specific focus on supplying two-stroke and four-stroke diesel engine spare parts.
2010
Special stocking programme of high quality Yanmar parts begins.
2010
Supply of four-stroke diesel engine parts to companies in Germany begins.
2011
Warehouse is expanded to 1,300 sq. mtr. to double stocking capacity.
2014
Procurement network is extended to Bangladesh.
2021
Construction of a new 2,247 sq. mtr. warehouse begins.
